Certification Pathway

Meridian’s five-tier counter-UAS certification curriculum

A layered pathway for building intelligence, detection, identification, response, and pre-incident command capability across operational teams.

Training pathway diagram

I

MAA, Meridian Aware Analyst

Layer 1, Intelligence & Awareness. Entry-level certification covering threat actor profiling, airspace mapping, and pre-event intelligence, for personnel who need to recognize and assess a threat before specialized equipment is involved.

II

MAS, Meridian Arc Specialist

Layer 2, Detection. Equipment-proficiency certification covering RF, radar, and acoustic detection methods, Remote ID interpretation, and visual identification technique.

III

MAO, Meridian Axis Officer

Layer 3, Identification & Classification. The pivot-point certification: distinguishing hostile from benign activity, tracing probable origin, and applying a structured, repeatable scoring methodology to support sound decisions under pressure.

IV

MVC, Meridian Vector Commander

Layer 4, Response & Interdiction. Certification covering the legal framework, escalation protocol, and coordinated-action requirements behind any lawful mitigation response.

V

MAE, Meridian Apex Executive

Layer 5, Pre-Incident Planning & Multi-Agency Command. The capstone certification, focused on building the coordinated response plan before an incident occurs: pre-established interfaces with FBI/JTTF, local law enforcement command, National Guard, EMS and trauma centers, public affairs, and venue operations, so that ICS/NIMS integration during a live incident runs against a plan that already exists rather than being improvised in the moment.
